Time measuring apparatus is a project of experimental philosophical contemplation related to questions of time and our experiences of it, in a form of scrolls and an artist’s book. The scrolls are a dialog between the photographs and the poems.
The geological formations and plants in Time measuring apparatus were photographed in Finland, Sweden and Iceland between 2017-2018.
The numbered lines in the poems were run through the randomizer. The randomness in the generator comes from atmospheric noise. Computers can not produce real randomness.
