Wandering around I saw a huge tree. Huge tree that was hollow from the base. I looked into that hole. Could I fit inside that tree? Yes, I definitely could.. I have never done that, I have to try it.. Too bad the tree was on a fairly busy pathway. I had a go. I dropped my backpack to the ground and squeezed inside with my camera. First impression was a complete silence. That silence was indescribable. Only little light reached the walls of the tree. The surrounding tree was deep brown, layered with years and fine spider web. I felt that the weight of three hundred years was above me, the tree was alive. There was another hole inside; I looked out to the forest. Birds were singing, it was very static inside, it was different time there. In that silence I noticed a continuous hum, like the ocean. It could not have been my blood circulation; my veins are not that enormous. I looked nervously out, I was afraid the first passing dog would smell me and I would have to explain to the owner what the hell I was doing in there, the dog probably would have understood. I crept out and looked at the tree with great respect.
